This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for www.43ccpodcast.com. This privacy notice applies solely to information collected by this website. It will notify you of the following: 1.) what personally identifiable information is collected from you through the website, how it is used, and with whom it may be shared; 2.) what choices are available to you regarding the use of your data; 3.) the security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information; and 4.) how you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via e-mail or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone. We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request.

We utilize Convert Kit for the management of our newsletter. The 43cc Podcast has a nonprofit fiscal sponsor – Moral Injury of Healthcare. Newsletter subscribers will receive emails occasionally from this organization upon subscription. Your information will never be traded or sold to any unaffiliated organizations.

Your Access to and Control Over Information

You may opt out of any future contact from us at any time. You can do the following at any time by contacting us via the e-mail address or phone number given on our website: 1.) see what data we have about you, if any; 2.) change or correct any data we have about you; 3.) have us delete any data we have about you; and 4.) express any concern you have about our use of your data.

Security

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline. Wherever we collect sensitive information, that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the Web page. While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers and/or servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment. If you feel that we are not abiding by this privacy policy, you should contact us immediately via e-mail at info@moralinjury.healthcare.

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

The 43cc Podcast and its partners are committed to ensuring the security and protection of the personal information that we process, and to providing a compliant and consistent approach to data protection. We have a robust and effective data protection program in place that complies with existing law and abides by data protection principles. We recognize our obligations in updating and expanding this program to meet the demands of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) of May 25, 2018, and the UK’s Data Protection Bill.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if we choose to enable such a feature), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
